Being in a long-distance relationship is not for the faint of heart. The constant longing for physical touch, the never-ending feeling of loneliness, and the constant uncertainty of when you will be able to be together again can take a toll on anyone. But for me, it was a harsh reality I had to face when I fell in love with someone living in a different country. The first few months were a honeymoon phase; we were constantly on the phone and video calling each other. But as time went by, the distance began to wear on us. The constant time difference made it hard to find time to talk, and the lack of physical touch became unbearable. I found myself constantly questioning if the relationship was worth it and if the love we had was enough to overcome the distance. But, as time went on, I realized that love truly knows no distance. We found ways to make it work by setting aside specific times to talk and finding creative ways to feel connected, like sending care packages and making plans for future trips to see each other. But, as time went on, I realized that love truly knows no distance. We found ways to make it work by setting aside specific times to talk and finding creative ways to feel connected, like sending care packages and making plans for future trips to see each other. Being in a long-distance relationship is not easy, but it has taught me that love knows no bounds and that distance, no matter how far, can never break the bond between two people who truly love each other.
